Excimer fluorescence from acridine and diaza heterocyclic hydrocarbons in non-polar media at low temperatures.

Spectroscopic proves for activated fluorescence and intermolecular hydrogen bonds formation in the singlet excited state of heteroaromatic organic luminophores, containing carbonyl group.

Photophysics properties of new organic materials with possible application in the asymmetrical catalysis, in the nanotechnologies and as optical – sensing indicators.

• Photophysical study of biologically active compounds

Photophysical properties of new photosensitising agents for decontamination of microbiologically polluted water.

A search for proper photosensitizers which selectively target mitochondria. Discrimination between two steps in the mitochondrial permeability transition process.

Fluorescence studies on denaturation and stability of recombinant human interferon-gamma.

Spectroscopic characterization of the structure and conformational stability of different classes of hemocyanins in solution.

Electronic spectroscopy of proteolitic enzymes ( subtiliases and related proteinases, esperase, savinase ) aiming to determinate the local environment and the unfolding processes.
