Expertise

Application of UV-VIS absorption and luminescent spectroscopy in different media, as well as computational methods for:
• study of the relationship between the chemical and electronic structure of conjugated organic compounds;
• investigations of radiative and nonradiative deactivation processes of electronically excited states of organic luminophores;
• photophysical and photochemical characterization of organic compounds containing heteroatoms with possible  application as fluorescent laser dyes, pH indicators and fluorescent markers for biopolymers.

Current Research

Photophysical investigations of heteroaromatic organic compounds with desired properties for application in nanotechnology and in information and communication technologies, namely as fluorescent markers for nanoparticles of different nature and size and OLEDs.
